It's time to get our country back in order.
There are many things to fix;
government, education, taxes, immigration....
the list is long.
SO LET'S GET AT IT !!
**note - below this section are the TOPICS and ISSUES for the platform
- Form of government is based on a Constitutional Democratic Republic
- The breadth of powers and authority to elected persons is granted, assigned and controlled by the citizens
- keeping 3 basic government branches - executive, judicial and legislative, all answerable to the citizens
-- Same laws apply to everyone, no special groups, no special situations
- We are a free people and do not want to be controlled by government or other agencies, but we do understand that a certain amount of government is necessary in order to have order, protection, justice and common services
- There are currently too many laws, policies, programs, services and jurisdictions, with many overlapping and redundant and not necessary to the basic operation of our society
- Size of government is much to big and needs to be reorganized. There are too many layers and too many on the payroll
- Taxation has been out of control and keeps growing. We need to bring the taxation levels way down as well as making them streamlined and fair to everyone, and any changes are decided by the citizens
- Government not allowed to spend more than it bring in, and is reuired to save each year for emergencies. Borrowing is only allowed if approved by the citizens
- government representatives and agency heads can be immediately halted if enough citizens call for it. The representative will be reviewed and either returned to office or replaced in under 30 days
- The court system is overburdened and very slow. We need to supply the system with help and new procedures to provide quicker final judgement
- We cannot make a law to force people to like each other. It is ok that I don't like you or that you don't like me - for any reason, but we must express humanness and courtesy when interacting with others. Respect is earned, but courtesy is expected
- Remember that it is not proper to violate the rights of others when you excersize your various rights.
- There is a difference between a right and a privilege
- Heads of public agencies and institutions will be elected by and answerable to the citizens, the same as traditional elected government representatives. For example// judges, education, taxation, medical, forestry, environment...
- Healthcare is fully covered, including medicines
- We do not give up our right to privacy in exchange for easier police work, or for the benefit of the government or commerce:
examples// cameras, any tracking systems, personal and related information
- Crime will probably always exist, but we are tired of it. The various types of crimes create a huge epense for both the government and citizenry. Higher penalties and swifter judgement and no tolerance for repeat offenders should lessen these troubles
- Elected persons must be citizens, and pass a basic knowlege test for the position they want to fill
- Banking is more heavily overseen to protect against failure
- Loans, especially for home mortgages should be a longterm fixed rate of 3%
- The citizens are not responsible for your shortcomings. There will be programs in place for temporary help in order to get you back eto self sufficiency, but those programs are short term. If you become a chronic user of the help systems then you are moved into the car system and provided with the basic supports of life.
- voting at all levels is the sole right of qualified citizens
