- Healthcare in its many forms and its many components has been funded in so many ways over the years, none of which have been successful.
- The concept of subsidized care for those with lower incomes verses private care for those who can afford it - moves talent and research away from the common person
- From the medical research, to pharmaceutical and treatment development, diagnosis, treatment methods, follow ups, all the bits and pieces... There is no good sharing of useful resources and data and there are too many disparate parts.
- costs are incredibly high because of so many layers of profitability, fear of copyright loss, generic drug competition, and for other reasons
- people are paying for the subsidized healthcare and government funded research in their taxes, plus paying for it on private healthcare plans, plus deductibles, plus full price for all the things that aren't covered. There is already a great deal of money going into the system as a whole.
- the average person cannot afford to get the full help they need either due to costs, or due to the practitioners needing to move as many patients through the system as possible in a short time.
- need a cohesive inter-cooperational system that is efficient and effective and isnt answering to shareholders. the corporate shareholder system is great for many things, but not a good place for healthcare
- * FREE for all legal citizens *
- Although we are in a free society, some things like healthcare should be standardized and made available to all the citizens.
- Includes hospital, ambulance, doctors, dentists, medicines, therapy, counselling, mental health, physical health, cancer treatments, all of it.
- Legal permanent residents and immigrants granted legal asylum have access to a lesser, basic version of this, NOT the full system
-Visitors, study-visa holders, non legal residents, legal immigrants who are not yet legal permanent residents - they have no access to the free system. Their health care needs must be funded through their own insurance or direct payment and they must prove their coverage before being allowed into the country.
- Private enterprises wishing to be part of the system must fully adhere to rules or practice, pricing, sharing of information, etc...
*this health care system looks after the costs for healthcare, not replacement of wages or other losses, and does not include unnecessary cosmetic or enhancement work.
* this is a VERY expensive idea and we cannot afford it without many changes to our other systems
*the availability of doctors, nurses and related personnel cannot be guaranteed. We cannot force people to work in this profession. So, sometimes from region to region there may be a shortage of the specific help you need.
*the concept presented here for this healthcare idea may seem out of place, considering that most of this platform seems to support the return to personal responsibility and less government - but sometimes we have to admit we can benefit from a centrally controlled system that is much more effective because it is not in competition with itself and trying to keep secrets in order to make a strong profit. Where our health is concerned we benefit from having it all under one roof.
