- too many immigrant, both legally and illegally
- for those who follow the rules, the process can be confusing and long
- government hands out too many of our resources to immigrants, and often provides for them better than for our own citizens
- government allows them in without having places for them to live or work
- immigrants who break the law or support ideas that are against our country or act in disrespectful ways toward our country are not being removed and returned back to their own country
- so many other issues
- all immigrants must accept that they need to adapt to our ways of life because we cannot accommodate an unlimited variety of social, religious and legal expectations
- set maximum annual limit for total # immigrants to allow in, including asylum seekers
- all immigrants must understand they will be IMMEDIATELY deported if they commit crime, or act in a way that is against or disrespectful of USA, or are not able to take care of themselves and their children on their own
- we have 1 official language and they must learn it. We cannot be expected to support language issues for an immigrant for more than 5 years
- immigrants are subject to deportation until they become citizens through a long process of required classes, required language proficiency, citizenship test, and minimum time living here full time (probably at least 7 years).
- many government systems do not seem logical nor efficient, and immigration processes are no exception. The systems in place for the various types of immigration need to be rewritten and streamlined, but not to the point of rushing through background checks. (ie// reuniting families)
- people trying to enter the country illegally will be denied entry and sent back
* we must take care of our own first
* we cannot allow immigration to put excessive burden on our systems (housing, medical, education, financial support, etc...)
* cannot use immigration to make up for low birthrates, it just creates a repeating failing cycle of too many and to few. We need to develop economic systems that can adjust for low population cycles.
